Privacy Policy
Effective May 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Compliant Mortgage Solutions, LLC (“FairLAR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the FairLAR application and website at fairlar.com (collectively, the “Service”).
FairLAR is a business-to-business product. The Service is designed for use by financial institutions, lenders, compliance professionals, and their advisors in connection with their fair-lending obligations. Information you submit to FairLAR may include personal information about individuals other than yourself — for example, loan applicants whose records you upload for analysis. Section 4 explains how we handle such information.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you create or are invited to an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password.
- Customer content. Data and files you upload, import, generate, or otherwise submit to the Service in connection with your use of it.
- Usage information. Logs and metadata about how the Service is used, including IP addresses, user-agent strings, request timestamps, and identifiers for actions taken (e.g. logins, password changes, analyses created).
- Communications. Information you provide when you contact us, including messages sent to support@fairlar.com.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- authenticate users and protect accounts;
- generate the analyses and reports you request;
- provide customer support;
- detect and respond to abuse, fraud, and security incidents;
- comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use Customer Content to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models for third parties.
3. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service, and only with the following categories of recipients:
- Subprocessors. Service providers that help us host, secure, monitor, and deliver FairLAR. Our subprocessors are subject to confidentiality and security obligations. A current list is summarized on our Security page.
- At your direction. Where you authorize us to share information with a third party (for example, by inviting them to your account).
- Legal and safety. Where required to comply with law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FairLAR, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to the same protections described in this Policy.
4. Customer Content and individuals whose data you submit
When you use FairLAR to analyze records about individuals (for example, loan applicants), you are the controller of that information and FairLAR processes it on your behalf, in accordance with your instructions and the agreement under which you use the Service.
Individuals whose information appears in Customer Content should contact the FairLAR customer that submitted it (typically their lender or financial institution) to exercise rights with respect to that information.
5. Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We retain Customer Content in accordance with your account’s configuration and any agreement covering your use of the Service. We retain operational logs and backups for a limited period as part of our security and recovery practices.
You may request deletion of your account by emailing support@fairlar.com. We will delete or anonymize information that we are not required to retain by law.
6. Security
We maintain technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. See our Security page for a summary. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee that information will never be subject to unauthorized access.
7. International data transfers
FairLAR is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that information about you may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
8. Children
The Service is intended for use by businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of personal information about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@fairlar.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice within the Service.
